Shahriar Pranto completed his Honours and Master’s degrees from the Department of Special Education at the Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka. He is currently working at Prayas Institute of Special Education and Research, an affiliated institution of Bangladesh University of Professionals. In addition to teaching regular B.Ed and M.Ed programs under the Department of Education, he also conducts classes as a lecturer in the evening BSEd and MSEd programs under the Department of Continuing Education and Professional Development, focusing on disability, special education, and inclusive education.

Shahriar Pranto has presented several research papers on disability, special education, and inclusive education at national and international conferences. Before joining the teaching profession, he worked in various education-related roles at organizations such as BRAC Institute of Educational Development, BRAC University, Sesame Workshop Bangladesh (Sisimpur), and Agami Education Foundation.
